About This Production

With this production director Ian Arnot gave us a soulful take on one of Shakespeare's most epic doomed romances, fleshed out by assured performances from Keith Bryars and Elaina Evans in the title roles. The mature love story was balanced by some standout turns from younger cast members, particularly Chris Sparham as Octavius.

On a sadder note this production featured the last performance for the company by longtime member Adrian Robinson as Mardian. Adrian, who had given a standout performance as Falstaff in 'The Merry Wives Of Windsor' two years previosuly and directed an excellent productions of Harold Pinter's 'Betrayal' and Alan Bennett's 'Talking Heads' for the company, passed away tragically the following year.
