'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

venue

Railway Institute

Dates

13th - 18th February 1950

Directors

A. G. Revill & E. D. Marsden

This was our fourth production of the ever-popular magical comedy 'A Midsummer Night's Dream', staged on this occasion at the Derby Railway Institute.  This was our regular performing venue from 1948 until 1957 and many fine shows were staged there.

This production featured music from the Derby Light Orchestra under the baton of their conductor Allan Street, along with singers trained by Laurence Lee. Some of the music for the show was specially recorded by Alan Turner and thanks were made to him by the society in the show programme.

We hope to be able to add more information and photographs from this production soon.
