Following the extended closure of The Guildhall Theatre and, despite our very best efforts to find an alternative venue for Richard III, we will not be able to continue with the production.

It is of course very sad and we would like to thank the director and all the cast, crew and others behind the scenes for all their efforts towards this production.

To our followers, we say thank you for your interest and messages of support. Derby LIVE will be issuing refunds for those who have bought tickets and we look forward to inviting you to future productions including "Shakers" at The Duchess Theatre, Long Eaton in September and "Richard II" at Shakespeare House in December. We hope to see you at Derby Book Festival and other events in June this year too.

If you are interested in taking part in these please do not hesitate to join us. Details are here http://www.derbyshakespeare.org.uk/join.

Established in 1908 we are proud to be one of the oldest amateur theatre companies in the UK. We strive to present the work of William Shakespeare and other wonderful theatre to the Derby audience. An amateur group with professional standards.
