“Knowing I lov'd my books, he furnish'd me from mine own library with volumes that I prize above my dukedom” The Tempest – William Shakespeare

Come and join Derby Shakespeare Theatre Company as we perform adapted scenes from some of our favourite books to bring you tales of love, horror and murder. From talking badgers to elderly detectives; the magic of reading and theatre combine to bring you an evening of laughter and pathos and to bring characters to life from the page.

From books you will know to ones you have yet to discover, let these glimpses into the magic of literary giants furnish your imaginations and leave you with memories that you will prize.”
