Our fourth production of the perennially-popular comedy 'Twelfth Night' came in February 1952 at the Railway Institute, then our regular performing venue. This production marked the only occasion that stalwart and hard-working company member Mercer Simpson directed for us.

It was customary at the time for the company to present two plays in consecutive weeks, often contrasting in style and theme. The week after 'Twelfth Night' saw our first ever production of 'Henry VI (Part II)', directed by George Revill and Bill Titmuss.
